stronghold and tomcat talking successfully.  whew.

Hello, 

I am working on a team that's using stronghold4 on Solaris 6 Intel.  We 
have successfully gotten stronghold and Tomcat configured through the 
WarpConnector and mod_webapp.so.   

The problem I am trying to resolve is proving difficult.  We have several 
developers working on java applications, so the application needs to be 
"reloadable", meaning if class files are changed they are reloaded.  The 
conventional method of making a Tomcat deployed application reloadable 
will not work for us, because when using WarpConnectors, you can't define 
an application context.   

The other solution would be to use Tomcat's Manager to reload the 
application.  However, the manager will not run through the WarpConnector. 
 The final solution I've come up with is to use the JK connector instead 
of the Warp connector, which will allow the manager to run.   

However, stronghold4 didn't ship with a compiled mod_jk.so, so now I'm 
trying to compile that.  Our server has no GNU tools installed, so after 
installing gmake, I got mod_jk.so to compile, but stronghold can't load 
it.  I'm assuming this is because stronghold was compiled with gcc and our 
library was built with UNIX cc.  So, now I'm compiling gcc to try that 
out.  argh.   

Does anybody have (or know where I could find) a precompiled mod_jk.so for 
Solaris Intel???  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
