RE: .unconfigure, or resetting system config

sadly I am now mobile and cannot try the ".unconfigured" - but I can tell=
 you that the options offered by Jeremey did NOT work, either alone or in=
 concert with one another.
This is on RHEL3AS U4 with all updates.
While it should not matter, this system is a VM under VMWare ESX.  Everyt=
hing else is working great - we just need a way to "template" this VM and=
 the unconfigure stuff is kinda key.
I will try this in the AM.

As Jeremy mentioned, there is reconfigsys, there is also
/.unconfigured (your memory was pretty close.) See rc.sysinit for
details on that.
