Dear sirs, i have found a bug report that claims that the megaraid2 driver is broken in Taroon5 kernel 2.4.21-32.0.1. That's true because all my servers with LSI Logic Megaraid 320-1 (Rev. 01) are not able to boot with that kernel and the megaraid2 driver. So i found a post of a redhat kernel maintainer that the updated version (2.10.10.1) is beeing merged in the 2.4.21-34 kernel. Now i downloaded the beta kernel from linville (http://people.redhat.com/linville/kernels/rhel3/rpms/kernel-smp-2.4.21-34.EL.jwltest.46.i686.rpm) but the mew driver is not in the built. It's the old v.2.10.8RH1 driver which is not working. I tried it and the error still occurs. So i have 2 questions: 1.) When will be a kernel available with the new megaraid2 driver (2.10.10.1) and is it merged in taroon 6 ? When will it be available ? 2.) I need a quick solution to provide a working driver for the recent kernel 2.4.21-32.0.1 without loosing support ? What can i do to make a module that works for the mentioned kernel.
