When updating these latest rpms, I get two problems: a) on installation of xterm up2date dies with: There was a fatal RPM install error. The message was: There was a rpm unpack error installing the package: xterm-179-4 the terminal window from where I start the up2date shows this error message: error: unpacking of archive failed on file /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm: cpio: rename b) When I select mysql-3.23.57.2 and mysql-devel in the list of available updates, I get the dependency error message: here was a package dependency problem. The message was: Unresolvable chain of dependencies: mysql-server-3.23.56-1.9 requires mysql = 3.23.56 Please modify your package selections and try again. On the sytem I have: rpm -qa|grep mysql mysql-3.23.56-1.9 mysql-devel-3.23.56-1.9 libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.6.5-5 mysql-server-3.23.56-1.9 and # mysql --version mysql Ver 11.18 Distrib 3.23.56, for redhat-linux-gnu (i386) I hope this infor helps to resolve these problems -- Taroon-beta-list mailing list [email protected] http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/taroon-beta-list
