genhdlist dynamic?

In previous releases including Red Hat 9, genhdlist was statically
linked so it could run on older systems like Red Hat 7.3. genhdlist in
taroon is dynamically-linked against librpm-4.2.so, etc. This means I
cannot generate a custom distro of taroon on an older system like Red
Hat 7.3. Can this be changed back to the old statically-linked
genhdlist? Or can I use the genhdlist from Red Hat 9 to build a taroon
distro?

I am working to port http://kickstart-tools to taroon for use with 3.0AS
when it's released. It relies on the genhdlist from anaconda-runtime of
each particular release you are building.

Thank you.
