Re: LVM and Cluster

LVM1 + cluster isn't supported anywhere.  IBM's EVMS 2.X using
device-mapper can support clusters, though.

Personally, I think it's  a mistake to move forward with 2.4's LVM1
support, when LVM2 is almost certainly the future.  Both LVM2 and EVMS
share the same backend, device-mapper, which is the only LVM in Linus's
2.6 kernel.  It's pretty easy to put LVM2 into a 2.4 kernel, and I've
even patched it into a couple RedHat kernels, although that involves
some hand merging of patch rejects.  Oh well.  Maybe in 5 years.
