3.5+0.5GB user/kernel split - supported in EL-3.0??

Hi,

There is a patch by Andrea Arcangeli to split the user/kernel memory
into 3.5GB + 0.5GB, all the way from kernels 2.4.16 and above.

This patch seems to be mutually incompatible with the "PAE" mode kernels
and the 4GB user + 4GB kernel split patch included in Taroon.

My questions:
	1. Is a non-PAE kernel available for use in RHEL-3.0?
the kernel rpms I see are all labeled "ent" and have the HIGHMEM64
	turned on.

	2. Is the 3.5GB/0.5GB patch compatible with redhat's kernel for
	RHEL-3.0 release kernel version?

thanks,
Ramki (ramkib-HKixBCOQz3hWk0Htik3J/[email protected], 650-584-1467)
