Why are all of these packages being removed?

This seems to indicate that 32-bit compatibility support for ia64 will be
_far_ less comprehensive than for amd64. Is that the intent?

I'd like to hear what Red Hat's statement is going to be regarding 32-bit
support on both 64-bit platforms.
