I don't know about divorces, I don't even have a girlfriend, I am trying to
imagine the pain... hmmm... yeah. I see your point. :-/

I know you can't satisfy everyone but I can at least make suggestions as to
what I consider a "fair" price. They don't have to listen to my ramblings,
it would be nice if they did though. :-)

So far Debian seems to be working mighty fine. The libraries on the system
mostly match a 7.x system which helps a lot. The configuration is different
but the configuration files for the software on the system are still the
same on both systems except for some paths.

Our 7.x systems came from the 6.2 era and thus a lot of scripts were made
homegrown instead of the specific Red Hat A.I. versions which made it really
simple to switch. So far the only software package that was behaving
stubborn, and still is, is GNU Wget which is not available in ssl form and
needed to be recompiled.

I'm thinking of building a short howto document on converting from Red Hat
to Debian and listing what to watch out for.
