diskless client hangs on RHEL 3 server reboot

I have setup a diskless client from a RHEL 3beta server.

When I reboot the NFS server, and during this time try some commands
on the client, the client hangs, and continues to hang after the server
has come up again.

Twice I got the familiar nfs: ... server not responding, but now the
console is not reactive anymore.

Also alternate console logins don't help, they hang too.

ssh access to the clients hangs, too.

It seems to be necessary to power cycle the client, not a nice situation
of course.

Is this a known problem?

Alois
