Broadcom NIC problem

I have a machine using the broadcom network card with the 
tg3 driver using the 2.4.21-3.ELsmp kernel, and it won't go 
to full duplex (ethtool -s eth0 duplex full speed 100 
autoneg off). Anyone else seeing this?
