Taroon glibc relies on all NPTL functionality being there. So vanilla 2.4.22 has no chance of working properly (unless you mv /lib/tls /lib/tls.disabled), 2.6.0-testX has some chance, but as Arjan wrote, only taroon kernels are supported on taroon.
