Please forgive me if you already did this, but did you: Install kernel-source-2.4.21-3.EL then in /usr/src/linux-2.4.21-3.EL: run 'make mrproper' copy configs/kernel-2.4.21-ia64.config to .config run 'make oldconfig' twice run 'make dep' then build the kernel (make/make modules) I haven't had problems if I followed this procedure.
