The LVM in the RHAS 2.1 kernel is out-of-date and fails some operations (notably lvextend). It is also not supported by RedHat. I believe that RHAS 3.0 will support LVM1. I highly doubt that moving to LVM as part of an upgrade is or can be supported. When I migrated my RedHat 7.3 systems to LVM in 2001, I had to do some fancy work using the NetRAID card and boot CD's to get everything migrated. Your best bet is to install a clean RHAS 3.0 then restore your data from backup or a secondary disk image. -Al Tobey On Thu, 2003-10-09 at 11:28, Martin Barbero, Agustin wrote: > Hi everyone, > I just purchased RHLE 2.1, but would like to use lvm or evms. > Has anyone used it?
