bitmap module not found problem

Hi,
 
I am using redhat 9 on a pentium 3 on a intel 815e chipset.
While i was booting into linux, an error cropped up. It showed that it couldnt load module bitmap.
 
I have no idea why this is happening. I tried reinstalling from the redhat 9 cds but the installation showed error as in during the install process i got the message that there is an error and xfree86 cannot be installed.
 
Can someone help me with the problem. I need to get my xserver running again.
