Hi All, I have installed latest xfree86 binaries ver 4.4.0, downloaded from xfree86.org. I have installed using Xinstall.sh script. This i installed on my existing redhat as 2.1 installation. After the binaries installation, i tried to configure X using: xfree86config xf86cfg Able to configure, but unable to get kde or gnome desktop. All that i get is terminal windows of xterm types. I tried to configure using XFree86 -configure, but it complained that glide is not available. Would like to know what needs to be carried out to get kde or gnome desktop. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. ____________________________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC=lycos10 _______________________________________________ xfree86-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/xfree86-list IRC: #xfree86 on irc.redhat.com
