Red Hat 9.0 with Radeon 8500

Hi to you all.

I have just installed Red Hat 9.0 on my desktop PC equipped with Radeon
8500.

But have no idea on how to enable the 3D acceleration.

I have tried to download a driver from ati's web site, but that driver
seems only work on XFree86 4.2.0 something.

Any ideas?
