Dear all

I am very new to using RH8.0. while trying to connect thru dial-up manually the modem disconnect immediately after hand shaking. though otherwise i get connected on using the gnome desktops network option and gets immediately connected. I am interested in manually connecting to the net.

My modem is Xlanbit 33.6 voice fax modem. Which connects perfectly in MS windows and like i already informed in gnomes network option. i am attaching the error log file. i am using the ppp-on command for connection. i suspect the problem could be with the config of ppp-on-dialer of RH8.0

I have already spend a lot of time & eneergy on this problem. your help is now needed.
