Sorry,

Tried your
solution:

Check the
"Ignore System Language Input" in the Language
settings.

No cigar...

I also
noticed people report the bug still exists.

I am using
Ubuntu 14.04 with Unity DE. I think it is
related to the Keyboard Input Method System in
the Language Settings. It is currently set to
'none'. Setting it to 'IBus' didn't change
anything. I read somewhere I sould change it
to 'xkbd' - but i am not sure and I don't
know how to do it...

Amichai.

LibreOffice

used to have a problem with this, but it
got fixed a few releases ago: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=41169

I don't any any issues with
LibrePffice 5.0.x on Debian testing
(tried CTRL+B, CTRL+C and CTRL+V while
in Hebrew layout).

Hi All,

Can someone explain to
me, once and for all, what's the
issue with entering keyboard
shortcuts (i.e.: CTRL-C) while
in Hebrew Layout in LibreOffice
on Ubuntu?

I call it an issue,
because I understand it isn't a
bug. It has something to do with
the text entry in Ubuntu, and if
I change the text entry mode -
problem solved!

I really hate having
to switch to English every time
I need to copy or pate text...

I promise I'll write
up a Hebrew HOWTO guide for the
community, as soon as i
successfully fix this annoyance.

Thanks!
