No, sorry your logic doesn't make sense. I've read over and over what you have said and all I see are sentences avoiding the real subject of adding an additional compression option. I think it would be better to agree on how to add such functionality (which seems to be a desired feature) instead continually say that you wouldn't add it or reasons not to.
