filelists

Hey all,
 Was talking to Jeff J. on irc today and he brought up a point that I
thought bore discussion:

in the filelists - right now I'm only marking a dir if it is a dir -but
do we need to mark the stuff like config files or ghosted files or docs?

the type attribute is available and could store this type of data.

is this information y'all would find useful and/or critical?
