Cool, thanks Paul. Looks fine. This is the first version since years, 
which doesn't take any patches and does what I need/want ;).

One minor problem appeared with the --checkts option lately: if only 
some rpms get deleted, it will wrongly assume, the repo is up to date.

Since this is very rare in the intended use case (regular repo 
regeneration), the momentary solution is manually running createrepo 
without this option. A proper fix is underway..
