I have a web directory full of RPMS. I can read the files via http. I can not write to the directory because it does not exist (it is a DVD image). If I could write the metadata to the filesystem then I can combine the files with the DVD contents using web server magic and turn the directory into a yum repository. In short I want to run something like this: createrepo -o . http://localhost/centos/iso/4.5/RPMS/ Does that explain it?
