list index out of range

Hi,
I installed Fedora Core 4 just to check the upgrade procedure from
FC4 to FC6. After install, I did:
  "yum update yum" ==> OK
   but
  "yum update" gave:

If I say "yum upgrade SOME_PACKAGE", that works.
Is it a yum bug, or a problem with the FC4 repos ?
