yum downloads but doesn't install rpm

Hi Folks:

   Looking to solve a problem, likely of my own creation.

   I am using OpenSuSE 10.2 for a customers cluster.  Setting up yum and 
a repository.  This is yum 3.0.1

	scalable:/srv/_os_/rpms # yum --version
	3.0.1


   The repo was created in the usual manner using createrepo (nothing 
special).

   A simple extras.repo file was created with this:

	[cluster]
	name=Cluster Tools
	baseurl=http://localhost:16160/rpms/
	enabled=1

and a web server is up and operational on this site, properly serving 
the files.  I can browse it.

Here is the problem.  When I go to install one of my packages in the 
repo, it downloads it just fine, but does not install it.

Ok.  I am sure this is pilot error on my part.  Any hints on what I am 
doing wrong?  This RPM installs fine by hand.
