yum -c [config file] option not working in YUM 2.4

Hi,
With yum 2.0 version the following command used to work without any problem.
yum -c myConfFile.conf check-update

but recently after switching to yum 2.4, this command is not accepting the
custom conf file.
It always considers /etc/yum.conf as the only config file.

Is it not possible to use custom config file in YUM 2.4?
