Yes, this sounds well:

I had updated Python on a Fedora Core 3
to Python 2.5.1 (r251:54863, Oct 23 2007, 13:37:11)

usr/local/lib/python2.5/os.pyc
/usr/local/lib/python2.5/os.pyo
/usr/local/lib/python2.4/os.py
/usr/local/lib/python2.4/os.pyc
/usr/local/lib/python2.4/os.pyo
/usr/local/lib/python2.5/os.pyc
/usr/local/lib/python2.5/os.pyo
/usr/lib/python2.3/os.pyc
/usr/lib/python2.3/os.pyo

So how can I do correct??????????????????????????????????
make a link from /usr/lib/python2.3 to usr/local/lib/python2.5
OR make a link from /usr/lib/python2.5 to usr/local/lib/python2.5
OR copy /usr/local/lib/python2.5 to /usr/lib/

OR tell yum to use /usr/local/lib/python2.5
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
