what is so weird about yum-cli asking to change the cd (specially
there is no script calling yum AFAIK)
I used mandriva and urmpi do that
I used debian/ubuntu and apt-get do that
I used ...

could you please justify that to me
remember we are talking about Linux in X need not be installed all the time
and cli usually should have more features that GUI

if you think that there are somescripts here or there calls the cli
then we can add 2 options
--interactive-media-swap
--no-media (default)

BTW: it is going to be in PK after changing the API
