HI ,

while using yum commands , it is giving error as "no module named yum" ,
I have removed the python for some reasons and installed it again , from
that time onwards I am facing this problem

[shashi@shashi ~]$ yum update
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:

   No module named yum

Please install a package which provides this module, or
verify that the module is installed correctly.

It's possible that the above module doesn't match the
current version of Python, which is:
2.3.5 (#2, Feb 25 2009, 18:01:43)
[GCC 4.1.2 20070925 (Red Hat 4.1.2-33)]

If you cannot solve this problem yourself, please go to
the yum faq at:
  http://wiki.linux.duke.edu/YumFaq

[shashi@shashi ~]$

Any help to resolve this problem ?
whether I need to reinstall yum ? plz provide site info to download and
install yum for fc8
(I am using fedora core8 )

[shashi@shashi ~]$ rpm -qa | grep yum
yum-3.2.20-5.fc8
yum-metadata-parser-1.1.2-1.fc8
yum-updatesd-0.9-1.fc8
yum-utils-1.1.17-1.fc8
[shashi@shashi ~]$ uname -a
Linux shashi.ctsf.cdac.org.in 2.6.26.6-49.fc8 #1 SMP Fri Oct 17 15:59:36 EDT
2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
[shashi@shashi ~]$

Thanks & Regards ,
shashidhar
