Add kernel-default-base to your installonlypkgs config item in yum.conf. I have a rather extensive list of kernel rpms used on various distros in mine. installonlypkgs=kernel, kernel-smp, kernel-bigmem, kernel-enterprise, kernel-debug, kernel-unsupported, kernel-hugemem, kernel-default, kernel-largesmp, kernel-pae, kernel-xen, kernel-xenpae, kernel-xenU, kernel-vmi, kernel-vmipae, kernel-vmibase, kernel-xen-base, kernel-smp-unsupported, kernel-pae-base, kernel-PAE, kernel-default-base On Mon, Feb 13, 2012 at 1:48 AM, Nicole Hähnel <[email protected]> wrote: > Am 09.02.2012 17:15, schrieb James Antill: > > Nicole Hähnel <[email protected]> <[email protected]> writes: > > > Hi, > > I am using yum 3.4.3 on our sles11 sp1 servers for updates. > Every time I have to install a new kernel, I get this error: > > ERROR with transaction check vs depsolve: > kernel-default-base_x86_64 is needed by (installed) > kernel-default-2.6.32.49-0.3.1.x86_64 > > Is this a yum problem?
