PYCURL ERROR 6 - "Couldn't resolve host 'mirrorlist.centos.org'"

Hello everyone!

Recently, I have noticed I can not use the yum command anymore. Here the  
kind of error:

yum install postgresql92 postgresql92-server postgresql92-contrib
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, refresh-packagekit, security
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile Could not retrieve mirrorlist  
http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=6&arch=x86_64&repo=os error was
14: PYCURL ERROR 6 - "Couldn't resolve host 'mirrorlist.centos.org'"
Error: Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base

However, I can ping the domain:

I also tried yum update, yum search but I always get the same error.

My /etc/resolv.conf is:

search 168.11.218
nameserver .............
nameserver .............


The "search" line sound weird to me, because this does not look like an IP  
adress. Both nameserver are the DNS of my University.

ifconfig returns:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 9C:3B:E5:1D:95:F9
inet adr:192.168.11.218 Bcast:192.168.11.255 Masque:255.255.255.0

Here is the content of /etc/yum.conf:

Finally, there is no proxy set (to my knowledge, we do not use a proxy).

Can anyone help me?
