 Yeh, it can contain tags/etc. (see: yum repoinfo) but that's basically
it. It's the metadata about the repo.

 What part of what man pages talks about repomd.xml? The only bit I
can see is the text for the metalink option, which is a list of
mirrors and the checksum of the repomd.xml
