I got webmin <current> installed without a hitch but I cant seem= to connect to the server on port 10000. It comes up 404 in both IE and Mozilla. <netstat -al> shows port 10000 listening. <top> fails to show https activity when i try and connect though= . here is the output: [1][email protected]:/etc/downloads/webmin_archive/webmin1.121# netstat - al | more Active Internet connections (servers and established) Proto= Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address = ; Foreign Address &nbs= p; State tcp 0 &nbs= p; 0 *:smux &nbs= p; *:* &nb sp; = LISTEN tcp &= nbsp; 0 0 *:3306 = ; * :* &= nbsp; LISTEN tcp &n= bsp; 0 0 *:10000 = ; &n= bsp; *:* &= nbsp; LISTEN tcp 0 &nb= sp; 0 *:http &nb= sp; *:* &n bsp; = ; LISTEN tcp 0&nbs= p; 0 *:ssh = ; *:*&nbs p; &= nbsp; LISTEN tcp &n= bsp; 0 0 *:smtp = &nb= sp; *:* &n= bsp; LISTEN = tcp 0 &nbs= p; 0 *:https &nb= sp; *:* &n= bsp; = ; LISTEN tcp 0 &nbs= p; 0 *:2525 &nbs= p; *:* &nb sp; = LISTEN tcp &= nbsp; 0 0 Underdog:ssh = ; 192.168.1.77:2167 &n= bsp; ESTABLISHED tcp &nbs= p; 0 0 Underdog:ssh &n= bsp; 192.168.1.77:2177 = ; ESTABLISHED udp &= nbsp; 0 0 *:10000 &nbs= p; &= nbsp; *:* udp 0 &nb= sp; 0 *:snmp &nb= sp; *:* Any ideas as= to how to repair this? Actually, it was qu= ite easy. I just pulled down the webmin source file. Untar'd it= and ran a regular install. However, just a note that webmin will run= from the directory that you install it from. I just ran the setup.sh script and chose Slackware Linux version 8.0 I think. I'm not sure w hich version of slackware the first beta of Sentinix was based off, but thi= s worked. It even installed with SSL. Then just point your brow= swer to [2]https://yourhost:10000 and l= ogin. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to get Nagmin working. If anyone has some clear steps for this process feel free to share them. = The docs are pretty good with Nagmin, but they don't give the exact o= rder for installing everything. If I figure it out, I'll post. Tim References 1. 3D"mailto:[email protected]:/etc/downloads/webmin_archive/webmin1. 2. 3D"https://yourhost:10000"/
