[sentinix-list] Discrete i/o monitoring

Hi all.. I am planning to replace an existing Netsaint install with Nagios
running on Sentinix.  I am currently using a program called joyd to monitor
the button contacts on two joystick gameports to send alerts to Netsaint
about the fire alarm, sound silence sensors, etc. In case you are interested

I want to replace the gameport solution with an inexpensive DAC card called
the Velleman K8000. I found some software written to use this card as an
alarm system called Linux K8000 House Alarm System or KEL that looks

The author has been quite helpful.

I would be happy to share my experiences and if anyone has any suggestions
about how to best implement this project, please pass them on..
