Hi all.. I am planning to replace an existing Netsaint install with Nagios running on Sentinix. I am currently using a program called joyd to monitor the button contacts on two joystick gameports to send alerts to Netsaint about the fire alarm, sound silence sensors, etc. In case you are interested here is more info, http://www.netsaint.org/docs/hacks/joyd.php I want to replace the gameport solution with an inexpensive DAC card called the Velleman K8000. I found some software written to use this card as an alarm system called Linux K8000 House Alarm System or KEL that looks promising. http://perso.wanadoo.fr/2oo2/k8housealarm/ The author has been quite helpful. I would be happy to share my experiences and if anyone has any suggestions about how to best implement this project, please pass them on.. Ciao Rob
