[sentinix-list] Updating packages & components

Hi
I would like to update my Apache, OpenSSL, PHP and mod_ssl on Sentinix, but would just like to know if I can use a standard RPM and just re-run a ./config&&make&&make install etc?  Will it update my existing configuration or are there certain packages that depends on the version of the default installs?  Must I use specific sources?  

Some advice would be much appreciated :)
