Do you have NET-SNMP installed? What service are you trying to check? You can't check a service without a plugin. I'm having trouble configuring a new community name for snmp. I am not using the snmp daemon. (not installed during setup) However I am still getting alerts through snort that my Sentinix box is configured for the "public" community in SNMP. I cannot find the snmp.conf file either. Anyone have any advice for a newbie? _______________________________________________ SENTINIX mailing list [email protected] http://elevenprospect.com/mailman/listinfo/sentinix
