Perhaps nobody is using it?

this beeing a doocracy, you can just go ahead and do whatever you think
needs to be done.

but if you do not know how to integrate something yourself. the best way
(i think) to get something done is to start with a wikipage like
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/HowTo/CompizFusion
where you document what is requiered to do to get the setup you want.
and then try and convince someone that this is something we should have
out of the box.

personally i do not know where i would use it. my servers have no
monitors... my thinclients have no 3d cards...
