I've no idea how this works for d-e-doc but for eg src:developers-reference 
there's a file debian/salsa-ci.yml with these 3 lines of content:

---
include:
  - https://salsa.debian.org/salsa-ci-team/pipeline/raw/master/recipes/debian.yml

To which I suppose you could add an increased timeout.
