Re: Do you want to help with marketing the new Skolelinux / Debian Edu release?

Hello Sir,
I am student of Computer Application in Delhi, India. I am keen to join the
team and be part of the initiative in productive manner. Although I am
using AptoSid currently in my laptop but I have had used Debian Edu few
months back and enjoyed and found very productive. And with motivation from
my Uncle I want to bring this to people. I earlier worked in Opera Campus
Crew and Mozila Remo programs, therefore I have a suitable experience in
Technology Marketing. So on first hand I'll look forward to my university.

If everything go as planned, we will release the new Skolelinux Debian
Edu version based on Debian/Squeeze in less than two weeks.  The plan is
to release it on 2012-03-11.

When this happen, we should have press releases, press packages,
pictures, and other marketing material ready for journalists.  We should
also have a plan on which journalists to contact to try to get the news
out.

Who are willing to work on this?  Who want to make sure as many
potential users of Skolelinux / Debian Edu learn about this great
product of ours?

Please help us make this release known.  Please join the "Promotion and
Community Team" listed on <URL: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/Teams >
(which in reality have not worked as a team for several years), and make
sure we developers can trust you to have prepared the release when we
have the product ready to go out.
