Installation Problems

   I've not encountered an out-of-disk-space error installing Slackware since
I started using it with version 8.0. But, I'm getting this now trying to
install -13.37/x86_64 on a Sony Vaio VPCEG with a 500G hard drive.

   Using cfdisk I created 3 partitions: sda1 is 300G formatted quickly with
ext3 and mounted as /; sda2 is 8G formatted as swap; sda3 is 192G formatted
(very slowly) with ext3 mounted as /home. The cfdisk table shows an asterisk
to the right of the sda3 partition size and I could not find what that means
using the cfdisk help.

   I try to install everything but KDE (except for base and libs), but very
quickly see that there's no room to install packages. Yet there's supposed
to be 300G available.

   Where do I start looking for the reason for this behavior?
