Hello list. Can anyone give me some advice about installing and running the last VMware Player on Slackware64 14.0? I am a long time Slackware + VMware user, I've been tampering with them for at least 8 years now. At the beginning it all worked great, then, sometimes in 2007-2008 VMware ceased to install on my Slackware boxes. The any-any patch worked for a while, but later versions failed to compile/install as well. I then moved to VirtualBox, it installs smoothly and works great for most of my requirements. Recently I'm working with a specific vendor, whose products can be run both as physical or virtual appliances. Alas, they require a reasonably recent version of VMware in order to boot and run correctly; VirtualBox doesn't do. Thus I'm trying to install VMware Player on my Slackware64 box. I am currently running a fresh 14.0 install, however I tried (and failed) to install on 13.37 too. Any advice? Thank you all, Manuel Ravasio -- Hana wa sakuragi, hito wa bushi _______________________________________________ slackware mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/slackware
