Well for one, the slackpkg file should *already* have all the mirrors
for 14.0 in it. That is if you 1) upgraded properly and to 14.0 as per
your initial e-mail.

I think the problem is you either never moved the .new file over or
just removed it as you wanted to stick either with whatever old version
you had or set it to -current. However looking at my own system (and at
the local mirror I keep); slackpkg will not have been the problem
except for the errors you put in.
