Nick, Allow me a suggstion based on my experiences here (with an HP LaserJet 5 and HP Color LaserJet 2550: delete and re-add the printers in CUPS. A few months ago, I think one instance was after the upgrade to 14.1, I could print nothing, not even the test pages. So, because there was nothing else for me to do, I deleted those printers and added them back in. That fixed the problem. It might be that the printer definitions seen by a newly installed (or upgraded) CUPS are different from those already seen on the Printers page of the CUPS administrative interface. If you try it, let us know the results. Rich
