Slackware can't really do that being such a small team. Additionally it would sort of void the idea of running virgin software. You are of course free to compile your own kernel, even package it so you don't have to compile it everywhere, but there are certain risks involved. There's no guarantee that the new kernel won't introduce regressions - hence why most other distros back port fixes.
