Actually, I used to talk to Patrick all the time. I even had his cell phone
number for a while back when he was having bad health problems and was in
serious need off a doctor that actually would cue him, and my mom worked in
a hospital and I've a lot of doctors so I asked my mom to help, emailed
Patrick Volkerding and told him that I found him a doctor that would
actually listen. He knew what was wrong and he knew what to do but every
doctor he saw was basically being stupid and would constantly say they had
to run some tests before they would help him and then say that what he
thinks it is is rare and blah blah blah, so I emailed him that I knew
someone willing to help and he emailed me back right away, and gave me his
cell phone number so that we could talk about it, and then he ended up not
having to come here because he finally got done test results back proving
what was wrong and the Doctor finally took care of it.

I'm sorry about the massive length of this but the point that it shows, is
that if you email Patrick yourself, he actually does reply, so I'd email
him with your concerns. Hell I managed to get Irssi into Slackware once,
lol, I was sick of compiling it from source and I like that one so I didn't
want to use BitchX. I mean I'd use it sometimes just to sort of toy with it
but I offered my favorite IRC client. Well, Patrick added it to Slackware
and I loved the fact that he not only listened to what I had to say but
replied a lot as well. He's a really great dude, just email him with your
concerns, he'll probably get back to you as soon as he can.

Again sorry about the length,

-Allen
