System compatibility

I was recently given a Dell PowerEdge R610 in a rack mount case. My 
understanding is that it was mistakenly ordered for a client install, 
then sat in the warehouse until all of the warranty options had expired. 
It currently has Windows Server 2008 on it, but I don't have (or want) 
any Microsoft licenses. It has two processors, which are supposed to be 
dual-core, 4G RAM (2x2G), four hard drives, one on SATA, the rest on a 
RAID card, and a DVD-ROM drive.

I would like to install Slackware 14.1 on this box, but can't find any 
information about compatibility. Does anyone have any recent experience 
with Slackware on Dell PowerEdge systems?
