UEFI Follies

Hey all,

I can't fathom how to get EFI working.

HP p2-1334 with Slack 14.2.

I had formatted the entire drive and then made an EFI/boot directory on
/dev/sda1 with the id set to EF00 and fstype DOS.

However, no matter what method I employed (I tried several) to populate
this directory with either syslinux or elilo I couldn't get the machine to
boot.

Can someone advise me on the easiest way to get this box to boot? /EFI/boot
still exists but is currently empty as I am booting off a usbstick and if I
place anything the efi directory the machine hangs until I got into the
BIOS and tell it to boot off of a bootstick.
