Yes, but I don't know about PAM and all I've seen is old instructions 
that no longer work: has to work with blank/empty passwords including 
user 0 (root) the way it does on classic *BSD Unix w/PAM.
    I understand PAM is easier for large organizations/networks' system 
administrators but it's problematic for home/desktop users.
    There's /etc/pam.d/ssh already, so why not /etc/pam/
{rexec,rlogin,rsh}?  Defaults should exist a sysadmin can learn and 
change if they want.
