Here is my error. On my system, the pathes of plain "su" and "su -" or "su --login" differ in several ways. After "su" some pathes under "/usr/lib64" are missing. I did not realize this. Then again, the output of "sudo echo $PATH" , on the other hand, *has* "/usr/lib64/go1.24.2/go/" in it's path. So perhaps I*d still be better off using sudo? Of course not, I'll take su --login.
