To enlarge the bootdisk the system must be booted via Net, then you can have bigger bootdisks. Normaly there are no files that can be deleted, as the files on the bootdisk are needed and there isn't enough space at all. The modules on the bootdisk you need are normaly only those for loading the networkcard and the driver for the disk-storage. Then the installation can be mounted via NFS and then the modules for lvm and reiserfs can be loaded from the installation system. What value is set for SYS_MODULES_AUTOPROBE ?? Maybe yes works ??
